I'd say that to most people, deciphering the legalese to the point of agreeing in full awareness of what they'd agree to, requires lots more time than the time to intelligibly read it aloud to a lawyer.
That's why they enable 'consent by a tick box' and the masses comply... Like tell a computer system you're not a robot... the masses comply...with another tick box (jokes) 🤪🤪🤪... and if they did read it... would it actually make any sense to what that person's actual rights were re: terms and conditions of use of said software / cloud platform / mobile app services... yet we all do it so willingly... so blindly...
To me the logical implication of the facts cited in the meme is that our having clicked "Agree" should carry absolutely zero legal weight. There is a deep sense in which it is impossible, by design, for a person to actually agree with anything -- because it is impossible, by design, for them to actually understand what they're "agreeing" to.

It would be one thing if these Terms were written in such a way that we actually had a prayer of understanding them. In that universe, clicking "I agree" might sometimes even be true. But in the universe in which we live, "I agree" can never be true, and what's worse is that the corporations made it this way on purpose. The "agreement" should thus be considered legally worthless.

I agree 100%. The ones demanding to have "I agree" clicked, can't pretend they expect the typical person they target, to actually read, much less to understand the language. We all know this is a meaningless ritual.
We all know this is a meaningless ritual.
It's NOT a meaningless ritual for these companies. It's a planned, designed, and necessary part of their business plans. It guarantees them the permissions they seek from their users to mine their data and reuse it for purely profit-motivated reasons. That's how it works folks. You want to use that spiffy free app, you'd better understand what you're freely giving up of yourself to do so.
